After a long trip from the US, our group arrived in Greece, feeling a mix of anticipation and fatigue. However, the students’ enthusiasm as well as our excitement, fueling a promising start to our exploration of these two captivating countries, Greece & Italy.

Once we reached our hotel, the group settled into their rooms, making themselves comfortable and ready for the experiences ahead. The hotel staff welcomed us warmly, ensuring that our group felt the first notion of Greek hospitality.

After a well-deserved short rest, we headed to our first stroll in the city of Athens walking through the dense streets of the popular Psyri area. Of course, on the way, we couldn’t resist in having a cone of some delicious ice-cream.

Soon we found ourselves in a beautiful backyard going for our first Mediterranean lunch. Greek cuisine and local products of good quality was exactly what we needed to refill our energy.

In the afternoon, a little before the sunset, we had the opportunity to hike up a beautiful hill and enjoy the view of the city of Athens from above, and the Acropolis from afar. We also had a nice group talking enjoying the view.

On the way back, we were greeted by a truly enchanting sight — the full moon illuminating in a unique way the Parthenon and the ancient Greek Agora. Timeless beauty under the moonlight!

Now we are feeling ready to wake up early tomorrow morning and walk up the Acropolis hill along with our Greek professional guide.
