The first day in Greece

Welcome to Athens!

After a long flight, we have made it to Greece and are ready to start discovering everything this beautiful country has to offer. We dropped our luggage off at the hotel, and made an important first in any country: lunch! Delicious gyros and souvlaki (grilled skewers) hit the spot.

Once we settled in and refreshed ourselves, we meandered through Athens, taking a stroll past the ancient Athenian Agora and towards the iconic Monastiraki Square, where the students were able to spend some time wandering the bustling market. Then it was time for dinner, composed of multiple traditional Greek dishes.

At this point, we were feeling the travel day, so we headed back to the hotel. We had a quick recap of the day and a look forward to the next day. Then we went off to bed to get some much needed rest before a big day of touring the Acropolis.

All in all, a long day, but well-spent, and a great start to what will be an exciting and enriching trip. We can’t wait to see what Greece and Italy have in store!

Off to the next adventure!
